UPDATE: A major update to WatershedMonitor has been made. Upper Salt River Watershed gages above Salt River Canyon have been added. You can access the new gage sites by way of the Salt pull-down menu on the line above. In addition, precipitation sites have been added to the Lower and Middle Verde pages.
As you maneuver your way around this website, you will find flow data collected by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and the Salt River Project (SRP). Precipitation data throughout the Salt and Verde watersheds is also available. In cooperation with the Prescott National Forest, the Arizona Game & Fish Department and the Verde Watershed Association, SRP has constructed and maintains low flow gage sites along the Verde River and one of its tributaries. These sites were selected based on input from citizen and agency stakeholders along with certain technical considerations (stability of the stream channel, access, security, etc). SRP strongly believes that making this information available to the public in a web-based format continues our commitment to assisting in the education of the watershed community regarding water resource issues.
This website will evolve over time, so visit regularly as SRP continues to provide information that allows watershed stakeholders to check the pulse of the Salt and Verde Watersheds.
