The Campbell Ranch Low-Flow gage, also known as the Verde Headwaters gage, is located downstream of the major springs that begin the perennial flow of the Verde River. This gage was installed in April 2004, by SRP in cooperation with the Arizona Game and Fish Commission. The gage is designed to monitor flows less than 100 cubic feet per second. During the high flow event of September 2004 the gage survived a flow of an estimated 18,700 cubic feet per second without major damage.
